Terms & Conditions

How this website handles cookies, analytics, and use of the Argus open-source project.

Last updated: July 21, 2026

1. About this site

This website promotes and documents Argus, an open-source security scanning project. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

The Argus scanning tools themselves are separate open-source software governed by their repository license.

2. Open-source software

Argus and its bundled scanner integrations are provided on an "as is" basis without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

You are responsible for how you install, configure, and run security scans in your own environments.

Nothing on this site constitutes professional security, legal, or compliance advice.

3. Cookies & local storage

Essential preferences — such as light/dark theme — may be stored in your browser local storage so the site remembers your choice.

If you accept cookies, we collect anonymous usage analytics (page views and outbound download link clicks) to understand how the site is used.

You can decline analytics cookies via the banner. Declining does not block access to the site.

4. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe admin areas, or submit abusive content through contact forms.

Do not use automated means to scrape or overload site infrastructure beyond normal browsing.

Demo and contact submissions must contain accurate information and must not include secrets or credentials.

5. Third-party links

This site links to GitHub, package registries, and other third-party services. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.

6. Changes

We may update these terms as the project and website evolve. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

7. Contact

Questions about these terms can be raised via GitHub issues on the project repository or through the demo request form.
